There's a movement underway in the food industry. And I'm not talking about organic or slow food (though those are great). I'm not even talking about trends here. I mean actual movement. In cities across the country, food trucks are all the rage. And delivering "every must-read street food, food truck, food cart and food stand story bubbling up across the Web" is Mobile Cuisine. In fact, I know food trucks have truly arrived because I saw one in my hometown, Stamford, CT. If something has made its way to Stamford, it's officially a thing.
Today on Mobile Cuisine, you can read about business lessons food trucks could learn from Julia Child as well as common misconceptions about food trucks. There's also resources and articles on how to make food trucks safer and more sustainable. There's even an interactive map where you can plug in your town to see where the closest food trucks are. And, oh my word, Stamford, CT is one of the featured towns! I also personally very much agree with their republishing of Zagat's top 5 food trucks in New York City... even if the waffle truck should technically be at the top of the list. What can I say? Those things are crazy delicious.
I'll be honest, at times it's not clear whether or not this site is for food truck proprietors or customers. I'm pretty sure it's geared towards both. I mean, everyone has to eat, right? One thing's for sure: food trucks are here to stay. Check out the site and get on board.
