Shelterrific was founded in 2006 by Angela Matusik. She realized, like many, that publishing online was both cheaper and faster. Leaving her print roots behind, she took to the internets and began writing about any and everything related to home design. Today, Shelterrific posts multiple times a day from a team of talented contributors, read by thousands of visitors.
But the best way to get a feel for a blog is to check it out. So let's walk in and take a look. One great feature of Shelterrific is Steal This Idea. Because let's face it, great ideas aren't always hatched, a lot of times they're lifted from somewhere (or someone) else. For example, using old loaf pans as drawer organizers? I'd have never though of that. And, I'll probably steal it. Other great features include the "want it now" feature, which often showcases great things like this ipod speaker, which I in fact do want, and right now. Another great feature is called blogwatch. Here, the folks at Shelterrific point out other great examples of quality blogging. (Hey, that's what I do, too!)
I keep thinking of all the reasons I love this blog, but I keep coming back to this one item. It's a bamboo scrubber, and in the picture they show it being used to remove scrambled egg remnants off a frying pan. I love my eggs scrambled and my pans clean. I want to both steal this idea and I want it now. And, most importantly, I want to check back soon to see what else they've got going on at Shelterrific.
