Expedition Portal is one part travel blog, and one part fantasy blog... as in I have fantasies about traveling to all these cool places they blog about. Ok. So I guess it's really just a travel blog. But still. It's a really cool travel blog about people doing and seeing amazing things.
Expedition Portal is really a community of travelers set on experiencing the furthest and most remote corners of the planet. However, they get that an adventure doesn't need to break the bank either. The site also takes strides to recognize that these trips don't need to break the environment either.
In one post, the blog will review products, and in the next they'll follow one man's journey to cycle around the world. In one post, the blog serves as a valuable resource for the jet setters among us, and in the next they'll reveal a secret motorcyle museum in France. And they even get special bonus points for the video post, syncing the 100-year old footage of San Francisco streets to the song "La Femme D'Argent" by Air. (San Francisco AND the band Air? Are you guys trying to also be my best friends?)
I may not get the chance to visit any of the far away destinations featured on Expedition Portal, but it's still at least a little bit of fun following along.
