Summary of expertise:
Ted Skinner is the Vice President for PR Newswire’s Public Relations Products; eWatch, Social Media Metrics, MediaSense, ProfNet, MEDIAtlas, MediaSense, IR Room and MediaRoom. In this role, Skinner trains and assists PR Newswire’s national sales force on these services and provides the product development team with support to ensure their continued success as the principal media services for monitoring media coverage, targeting journalists, online communications and connecting experts with the media. Since joining eWatchTM in October 1999, Skinner has been an integral part of its development. He was a member of the transition team when PR Newswire purchased the company in January 2000. He travels throughout PR Newswire’s bureaus to train account executives and manage product information for all Public Relations services and applications. In April, 2007 he was promoted to oversee the entire Public Relations Products line. He also represents PR Newswire at various speaking engagements across the nation discussing a range of topics such as strategic online communications and online crisis management. Prior to PR Newswire, Skinner designed data and phone networks for medium-sized companies as a senior network consultant in Ann Arbor, MI. Skinner, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife Emily and two children; Bennett and Lilly.
