      Susan M. Tellem, APR, RN, BSN,is a partner in Tellem Grody Public Relations, Inc. (, a public relations, social media and marketing communications firm.

      Tellem began her career iby founding Tellem PR and was acquired by Saatchi & Saatchi PLC. Tellem served as senior vice president/managing director of the corporate and health care/biotechnology groups, Burson-Marsteller. She relaunched her own firm Tellem Worldwide in 1994.

      Accredited by PRSA, Tellem is an active volunteer for many causes, especially animal welfare organizations, and was honored with the LA Chapter’s Joseph Roos Community Service Award. She served as a volunteer for the media advance teams during Pope John Paul's visit to LA, responsible for credentialing 3,000 media. She was the PR spokesperson for the District Attorney in the Michael Jackson molestation case prior to and during the trial.

      Tellem has served as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University after an 11 year stint as a member of UCLA's extension faculty. Tellem was recognized by the Century City Chamber of Commerce as a “2007 Woman of Achievement.”

      Tellem is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences; a registered nurse (retired); Los Angeles Police Department Reserve Officer Specialist (retired); Alumnae of the Year and current class representative for Marymount High School Alumnae Association; and an active member of many animal welfare and environmental groups. In 2008, she became a Malibu Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer and board member and was appointed as a Malibu Public Safety Commissioner for a four-year term. With public safety as a major avocation, Tellem launched in 2010 to act as a clearinghouse for the public and first responders of timely public health and safety information.
