Ron E. Peck has been a member of The Phia Group’s team since 2006. As an ERISA attorney with The Phia Group, Ron has been an innovative force in the drafting of improved benefit plan provisions, handled complex subrogation and third party recovery disputes, healthcare payer/provider direct contracting and spearheaded efforts to combat the steadily increasing costs of healthcare. He is a consultant providing guidance to employers, brokers, insurance carriers, and other entities in the health benefits industry. Prior to joining The Phia Group, Ron was a member of a major pharmaceutical company’s in-house legal team, a general practitioner’s law office, and served as a judicial clerk. Ron is also currently of-counsel with The Law Offices of Russo & Minchoff.

Ron Peck is a dedicated member of The Self-Insurance Institute of America’s (SIIA’s) Government Relations Committee, representing the political interests of employers and employee benefit plans nationwide. He is also a key thought leader in the industry regarding the development of strategies to reduce the cost of health care without limiting access or quality of care. This includes such things as domestic and foreign medical tourism, value based healthcare, ACOs, and more.

He has been cited and participated in the drafting of news articles by others, provided content for published books, been interviewed live (via phone and in person) for both articles and transcribed publishing. He is an expert speaker in live forums, recorded formats, and written word. His own articles are consistently cited and acclaimed for their clear ability to explain complex issues in simple terms everyone can enjoy and digest.
Attorney Peck obtained his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University.
