      Summary of expertise:
      Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr. is an American environmental attorney, author, and activist. Kennedy is the chief legal counsel for Children’s Health Defense, a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to ending childhood health epidemics caused by toxic environmental exposures. He also serves as president of the board of Waterkeeper Alliance, a non-profit environmental group that he helped found in 1999.
      From 1986 until 2017, Kennedy served as senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a non-profit environmental organization. He served from 1984 until 2017 as board member and chief prosecuting attorney for Hudson Riverkeeper.
      For over thirty years, Kennedy has been a professor of Environmental Law at Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. Until August 2017, he also held the post as supervising attorney and co-director of Pace Law School's Environmental Litigation Clinic, which he founded in 1987.[5] He is currently professor emeritus at Pace.
      Kennedy was a lead attorney in Dewayne Johnson’s lawsuit against Monsanto, the first case to go to trial in a string of legal complaints alleging the glyphosate-based herbicide Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Johnson was awarded nearly $290 million in damages in August, 2018.
      Books/articles published:
      Mr. Kennedy has written or edited ten books, including "Thimerosal: Let the Science Speak" and "American Values: Lessons I Learned from My Family." He has written numerous articles for a variety of publications including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Atlantic Monthly, and many others.
      Mr. Kennedy is a recipient of the EPA Environmental Quality Award, Time Magazine's "Heroes of the Planet", the Moms Across America Healthy Communities Award, and numerous other awards.
      Prior media experience:
      Mr. Kennedy co-hosts "Ring of Fire", a nationally syndicated American radio program, and has appeared on a variety of network programs including the Today Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Tucker Carlson Tonight.
      Educational background:
      Mr. Kennedy graduated from Harvard in 1976 and went on to earn a law degree from the University of Virginia. He also received a Master of Laws from Pace University.
