Have you ever wondered what a typical day is like for a freelance writer? Would you like to know how they get assignments, what their writing process is like, and what they like (and don’t like) from PR professionals?
Join us on Tuesday, March 29, as Gina Roberts-Grey, freelancer extraordinaire, will answer these questions and more.
For more than a decade, Gina has been writing articles on health, consumer issues and finance for a variety of print and online markets around the world. She has covered everything from fibromyalgia, COPD, and heart disease to potty training, depression, psoriasis, and "green" toothpaste for Glamour, Parents, Better Homes and Gardens, Self, Woman’s Day, Lifescript.com, EverydayHealth.com, MSN.com, AARP The Magazine and many others.
She also has what she considers "the best job ever" as a celebrity-profile specialist. Over the years, she has interviewed scores of actors, politicians, singers, athletes, reality TV stars, and other celebs, including Larry King, Randy Jackson, Jane Fonda, Johnny Bench, Alan Thicke, Melania Trump, Mira Sorvino, Carrie Ann Inaba, Danica Patrick, Joy Behar, Lisa Ling and many others.
Gina has also penned pieces on "Insuring Santa Claus," "Financial Frenemies," and several other finance topics for MSN.com, CreditCards.com, InsuranceQuotes.com and others.
When she’s not chasing down sources or assignments, she’s the chair of the largest freelance writers conference in the country, ASJA2011, the 40th Annual American Society of Writers and Journalists Writers Conference. The conference, held in April 2011 in New York City, brings together writers in all stages of their career to enjoy a weekend filled with education, networking, marketing and insights into industry trends.
The chat will begin at 3 p.m. EDT and last for 90 minutes. About #ConnectChat

The chats are held on the last Tuesday of each month, and feature a guest with expertise on a specific topic. Transcripts of the chat are also provided on ProfNet Connect the following day.
