Michelle Potter is the Director, Strategic Development for England Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of C.R. England, Inc., a Salt Lake City-based global transportation provider and the world’s largest refrigerated trucking company. Ms. Potter joined England Logistics in 2008 and took the role of Director, Operations, and nine months later, assumed the role of Director, Strategic Development. Her responsibilities include the management and guidance of operational analytics, information technology, marketing and full truck-load agent operations. In the short time she has been with EL, her portfolio already includes a number of powerful accomplishments. She was the driving force behind the implementation of McLeod Powerbroker, a recovery protocol initiative, various marketing and communication efforts, business analytic initiatives and the operations of a large number of outside agents. Prior to her current role, Ms. Potter served in a variety of positions with Con-way Multimodal, Inc., climbing the ranks while building business startups and restructuring the business model. In 2002, Ms. Potter directed the startup of Con-Way Full Load, a truckload brokerage operation which is now named Con-way Multimodal Inc. Her innovation and quick abilities led to the startup of a retail pool distribution company in 2005 and opened the first two locations within 90 days of notification and an additional three locations within the next six months. She was also responsible for the execution of the sale of the Con-way NOW business unit, resulting in a substantial financial gain based on the success of transition. Ms. Potter is a cum laude graduate of Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. She is a member of the Transportation Intermediary Association. |
