Doctor Michael B. Zemel is the director of the Nutrition Institute at UT as well as a professor in the departments of Nutrition and Medicine. Dr. Zemel is an expert in cell calcium regulation, obesity genetics, insulin, and hypertension. In 2005, Dr. Zemel won the Lydia J. Roberts Memorial Lecture Award, given by the University of Chicago.
