Melissa VanDyke is an incentive industry expert and president of the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) where she is responsible for all operational, financial and marketing aspects of the organization. VanDyke comes to the IRF from her position as managing consultant of the Employee Engagement Practice at Maritz. Prior to this, she held leadership positions in
Solution Management, Product Development and Business Technology Solution Management at Maritz. VanDyke was selected as Incentive magazine’s 2007 Rising Star in the Incentive Industry and co-authored the chapter on “Nonmonetary Awards: Experiential, Tangible and Cash Equivalent Awards” in the fifth edition of the Compensation Handbook. Before joining Maritz, VanDyke worked as a senior business process and technology consultant for Ernst & Young LLP.
The IRF is a private not-for-profit foundation that focuses on pragmatic research highlighting the premise and power of incentive and motivational programs in order to help businesses develop effective motivational and performance improvement strategies. Since its inception as the SITE (Society of Incentive Travel Executives) foundation in 1987, the IRF has underwritten nearly 50 projects and committed approximately $2 million to research.
