Are your experts profiled on ProfNet Connect? We have two exciting (and free) opportunities that can help you increase their exposure:
Interesting Expert of the Week
Each week, we profile an expert from the ProfNet Connect network as our “Interesting Expert of the Week.” The profile is featured on ProfNet Connect, shared via Twitter and Facebook, and included in our weekly email to reporters.
If you represent an expert who is doing something interesting, offbeat or quirky (see past columns to get a sense of what we look for), email us at profnetconnect@prnewswire.com with their info. Our editorial group will review all submissions and will be in touch if we are interested in profiling the expert in a future column.
Because the column is meant to spotlight members of the ProfNet Connect network, all suggested experts must be profiled on the network before we can consider them. Setting up a profile is easy and free. For help, see: How to Manage Expert Profiles.
#ConnectChat
Every other Tuesday, ProfNet hosts #ConnectChat, a Twitter-based series that explores topics of interest to communicators and media professionals. The chats are moderated by a ProfNet editor and feature a guest “speaker” on a predetermined topic.
Because the chat is entirely Twitter-based and very quick-moving, we do require that speakers be comfortable with Twitter and Twitter chats.
What’s in it for the speakers? In addition to the exposure they get by being in front of everyone that follows @profnet and #ConnectChat, guest speakers will also have their picture posted in Times Square the morning of the chat!
If you represent someone who would make a great #ConnectChat guest, drop us a line at profnetconnect@prnewswire.com. We will review all submissions and reply to those we are interested in.
ProfNet, a service of PR Newswire, has helped journalists and experts connect since 1992. Writers can search the ProfNet Connect database of more than 50,000 profiles; send a ProfNet query by email to thousands of subscribers around the globe; or get timely experts and story ideas by email.
