Larry is president & CEO of SOCMA, the only U.S. trade association serving 200+ specialty chemical companies, small and large. Larry's expertise includes advocating for federal laws & regulations based on sound science, increasing confidence in the industry & creating business opportunities for chemical companies of all sizes. Larry began his career as a chemical engineer at Air Products & Chemicals and later worked for Nalco Chemical Company.Prior to SOCMA, Larry was president of the Adhesive and Sealant Council.

Larry is actively involved in the National Association of Manufacturers' Council of Manufacturing Associations, and in 2012 was elected to serve as Council Board Chair. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Chemical Educational Foundation.
In 2006, he earned the Certified Association Executive designation from ASAE. The following year, he received the National Association of Manufacturer’s Council of Manufacturing Associations Leadership Award.
