      Summary of expertise:
      Krista Hansen has been artistic director for the Theatre Arts Lab Series at Dominican University's Performing Arts Center since 2003. She has also taught courses on voice and movement, the fundamentals of acting, directing, children's theatre, improvisation, musical theatre, movement for the stage, and auditions. She has adapted two Shakespeare plays, Othello and Macbeth, for production at Dominican. Hansen has produced study guides for educators to use to discuss theatre productions with students. She is also a company member with Erasing the Distance, an organization that sheds light on mental illness through theatre. In addition, Hansen contracts independently as a director, vocal director, dialect coach, movement coach, acting coach and actor. She also teaches interpersonal communications skills to teachers, customer service representatives and business professionals.
