Immediate Past President of the California Society of Enrolled Agents. Ms. Kastl, a former IRS agent, joined CSEA in 2001. Her successful tenure as 32nd President of CSEA was noted for the Society’s successful legislative efforts on behalf of California taxpayers, including SB 401, the Conformity Act of 2010. At CSEA she gained political acumen through chairing the Political Action Committee (PAC) and Legislative Committee, as well as serving on several other state committees, including Bylaws, Executive, Membership & Chapter Development, and Public Information & Awareness. She previously served as both a Director and President of the East Bay Association of Enrolled Agents, which has over 400 active members. CSEA’s membership totals more than 4,200 tax professionals, and members are required to complete twenty percent more education than required by the IRS, as well as adhering to a strict code of ethics.
