      Karen Karsif, MD, Director of the Breast Center at New York Hospital Queens, devotes her entire practice of medicine to breast disease. Highly respected by patients and the medical community, Dr. Karsif was honored by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation with the Gay Clark Stoddard Memorial Award for exceptional care. Dr. Karsif is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Karsif earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and conducted her surgical residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She formerly served as Chief of the Breast Clinic at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Karsif established The Breast Center at New York Hospital Queens in 1999. The Breast Center has since become the No. 1 place where Queens¿ women go for their breast care. She is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Disease.
