"The Famous" Justin Reno Takes On "WWE Legend" The Honky Tonk Man

What happens when an upstart like Justin Reno comes face-to-face with a wrestling legend like The Honky Tonk Man? That's what Elite Pro Wrestling wants to know, so they're making it happen. "The Famous" Justin Reno and "WWE Legend" The Honky Tonk Man plan to meet in the ring on September 14.

The Honky Tonk Man has been wrestling since before Reno was born, and has been affiliated with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and The World Wrestling Federation, now known as WWE. The future hall of famer (is there any doubt?) is best known for being the longest reigning WWE Intercontinental in history, a title he held for a record one year, two months, and 27 days.

Asked how he felt to be wrestling the WWE legend, Reno replied, "I wonder if Honky Tonk Man is as excited as he SHOULD be to be wrestling The Famous Justin Reno in September. Don't worry though, I won't let any of my fame rub off on him!"

Reno first stepped into the ring as a professional wrestler on February 6, 2010. Since then he's made a name for himself around the midwest, working with 7 Rivers Wrestling; Dynasty Pro Wrestling; Elite Pro Wrestling (EPW); IWA Midwest; Metro East Championship Wrestling (MECW), where he was the youngest ever heavyweight champion; NWA Wisconsin; Pro Wrestling BLITZ; The Wrestling Show; Windy City Pro Wrestling (WCPW); and Wrestling Past, Present, and Future (WPPF).

Elite Pro Wrestling will feature the two wrestlers as The Main Event on Friday, September 14 in Tomah, Wisconsin

"Wrestling is who I am," says Justin Reno

"So what do you do...what's your day job?" That's the question a wrestling fan put to Justin Reno after a recent match. Talk about bad timing! Reno, in no mood for dumb questions just then, shook his head and walked away.

Wrestling is nothing more than a hobby for some guys; it's the thing they do after their "real" jobs.

Not so for Justin Reno. Wrestling is his real job. It's in his blood. It's in every breath he takes. He's banking everything on wrestling because it comes from his very core. You can't separate Reno from wrestling.

"What do I do? I'm a wrestler," says Reno. "Whatever jobs I take, whatever else I do, I'm always a wrestler. It's not only what I do...it's who I am."

Justin Reno exploded onto the wrestling scene as a brash, hungry 18 year old. True to his Vegas roots, he draped himself in a green boa and began revving up the crowds like he'd been doing it all his life.

"I was ready for that moment from age 10," he says. "Wrestling was missing a Justin Reno and it just so happens I was able to fill that void. When I walk out from that curtain, you'd better believe the people will remember ME at the end of the night above all others."

Don't let that boa fool you, though. Many a sorry opponent has made that error in judgement. The youngest ever to vie for -- and win -- the MECW heavyweight title, Reno is the master of many moves, perfecting the discus clothesline, moonsault press, ball-n-chain suplex, and personal favorite he calls the Reno Roulette.

Reno is unpredictable in the ring, continuing to put his moves -- and himself -- to the test. Never knowing what to expect, some love him and some loathe him, but none can deny his superior wrestling skills or talent for putting on a memorable show.

"I'm the future of wrestling and the future is bright," says Reno with a satisfied smile.

Is he extremely confident…perhaps somewhat arrogant…or completely deluded?

It seems that only time will tell for sure.
