      Summary of expertise:
Born in Scranton and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Chester County, a county you’ve only heard of if you live there or watch CNN on election night every four years, Joseph Geiger is a graduate of Adelphi University’s Honors College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He was part of the 7 year B.S./D.D.S. program with NYU Dentistry. Previously, he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives and maintains a passion for public policy, including policies regarding emergency preparedness and public health. Joe’s research in this area has been published in original research and editorials.

Joe is now a third year student doctor at NYU Dentistry and was recently one of six students selected for the Dental Leaders in Global Public Health Honors Elective. Currently, he is spearheading research focused on barriers to collaborative treatment of dental fear. In his free time, Joe is a politics junkie, Sixers fan, and enjoys trips to art museums in the city.
