Beth has spent the last 12 years at the forefront of public relation's evolution. As the media industry works to reinvent itself, public relations is changing by the day. Tactics must evolve to embrace the Twitters of tomorrow, yet some tenets remain true. Beth believes that successful PR campaigns hinge on creativity, clear and concise messaging, and a tireless focus on the importance of relationships - media and bloggers must be just as important as clients.
She cut her teeth in PR at Schwartz Communications working with the start-up stars of the Internet bubble, back when pitching a stock's hourly price hikes on IPO day was starting to get boring. Four years later at Charles River Ventures, she helped create media luminaries out of the VC rainmakers of the time, while launching some of the firm's portfolio companies to fame of their own. Just before co-founder Meg O'Leary convinced her to quit her job to start InkHouse, Beth was vice president, public relations at The Castle Group. At Castle, she oversaw flagship accounts such as eons (Jeff Taylor of Monster.com's social network for baby boomers), Atlas Venture, the Law School at The Ohio State University, Ropes & Gray, and many more.
Beth lives in Brookline, Massachusetts with her husband, daughter and snorty French bulldog. She spent four cold years at Syracuse University where she earned a degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
