In December, we hosted the second installment of Connect Chat, a series of live chats to foster active and engaging conversation between communications professionals, experts and the media. (Click here for a transcript of last month’s chat.)
The next installment of our monthly Connect Chat series will take place Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. EST. (The change from the regular time of 8 p.m. EST is to accommodate our guest, who is based in London.)
"Communicating During a Crisis: Effective Strategies & The Role of Social Media" will feature Allan Schoenberg, Director of Communications at CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace. CME Group exchanges offer the widest range of global benchmark products across all major asset classes, including futures and options based on interest rates, equity indexes, foreign exchange, energy, agricultural commodities, metals, weather and real estate. CME Group brings buyers and sellers together through the CME Globex electronic trading platform and trading facilities in New York and Chicago. CME Group also operates CME Clearing, one of the largest central counterparty clearing services in the world, which provides clearing and settlement services for exchange-traded contracts, as well as for over-the-counter derivatives transactions through CME ClearPort.
Allan will discuss how to develop crisis strategies quickly to respond to changing circumstances, how to use social media to handle a crisis situation, and much more.
To submit questions for Allan, please e-mail us at profnetconnect@prnewswire.com with "Connect Chat" in the subject line, or tweet your question to @profnet or @editorev. We’ll try to get to as many questions as we can.
To help you keep track of the conversation, we will use the #connectchat hashtag. Please use that hashtag if you are tweeting a question to Allan or participating in the chat. And if you can't make it to the chat, don't worry -- a transcript will be provided on ProfNet Connect by the end of the week.
