      Dr. Cunningham pioneered the national movement to integrate engineering in elementary education. She heads a dynamic 35-person team that develops nationally disseminated engineering curricula for grades K-8, conducts teacher professional development in elementary engineering, and conducts educational research on how people learn and teach engineering and science.
