      Dr. Raymond is the author or chapter contributor of four books, including the colonoscopy joke anthology and cult classic Colonoscopy: It'll Crack U Up, as well as Don't Jettison Medicine, an inspirational read for professionals in the medical field. She has also penned many scientific abstracts and articles on gastrointestinal disorders. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Raymond has also given more than 250 lectures and presentations to medical peers and students.
      Over the years, she has been a member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Women's Association, and the American Society of Internal Medicine.
      Prior media experience:
      Dr. Raymond is host of NPR's Housecalls, and is a frequent contributor and editorial board member of My Family Doctor Magazine. She also writes for the Passionate HealthCare Newsletter, EndoNurse Magazine, and the GI Health Newsletter.

      A graduate of the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Raymond completed her internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
