David Allred is the director of management services and executive assistant to the senior management team of C.R. England Inc., a Salt Lake City-based global transportation provider and the world’s largest refrigerated carrier. C.R. England has operations throughout the United States and Mexico and serves notable companies such as Hershey, Nestle, ConAgra, Walmart, Kraft, and Kroger. Mr. Allred also oversees a wide range of corporate communications activities and event management for the company.
Prior to joining C.R. England, Allred was the director of public relations for Richter7, one of Utah’s top advertising and public relations firms, where he worked with a wide variety of clients in industries such as government, healthcare, education, sports and entertainment, medical technology, travel and tourism, real estate development, and public utilities. His clients were featured in electronic and print media in such markets as Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Detroit, Washington D.C., Chicago, Detroit, and New York City.
From 1981 until 2003, Dave worked for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association. Upon leaving the Utah Jazz after 23 years with the team, a Salt Lake Tribune sportswriter wrote, "Only a handful of people have had more to do with the Jazz's success in Utah than Allred, who started as an intern and worked his way to the top of his profession. He is John Stockton in a suit. He is Karl Malone, without the muscles." Dave joined the organization during the team’s second season in Utah and concluded his service as vice president of communications. During this time, Dave fine-tuned his expertise in media and community relations, internal and external relations, and crisis communications.
