Summary of expertise:
I was privileged to be honored as Disney's 2005 Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year. Steve Jobs nominated my Early Childhood Technology Literacy Project for the Computerworld Smithsonian Award in Education and Academia and which won in 2000. I was the expert consultant for the USDE and helped write "The Power of the Internet for Learning". I am a National Board Certified Teacher, Apple Distinguished Educator, Expert Consultant to the Character Education Partnership and Director of Education for The Virtues Project. I am humbled to say that I am 1 of 10 educators featured in the book, "One on One with America's Most Inspiring Teachers." I have had the joy of raising 2 wonderful children and being a classroom teacher for 16 years, a technology specialist for 5 years, an instructional coach for 2 years and a consultant for the 7 years.
