Summary of expertise:
Bruce A. Sammis has served as chief executive officer of Dallas-based Lockton Dunning Benefits since 2007.
Bruce’s areas of expertise include development of corporate benefit strategies; managed care network evaluations; underwriting, pricing and negotiation of insured and self-funded programs; commercial HMO pricing and analysis; network efficiency, quality of care and service analysis; provider contracting; and designing and selecting vendors for group universal life plans.
Additionally, Bruce has directed the launch of the new specialty practice group, Lockton Health Risk Solutions, which takes an innovative approach to corporate healthcare insurance; dedicated to measuring health, reducing risk and delivering solutions for employers.
Bruce is on the executive advisory council of BlueCross BlueShield and a member of the Southwest Benefits Association. His professional licenses include FINRA Aeries 6; NASAA Series 63; Texas Life, Accident, Health & HMO and Texas Property and Casualty.
Additionally, Bruce serves on the board of directors of the American Heart Association’s Dallas division, the executive leadership committee of Côtes de Coeur, the healthcare leadership taskforce of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and the board of directors of the Dallas Heritage Village.
Bruce earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington and Lee University.
