    Summarize your expertise in greater detail Alan has had a passion for politics and government for his entire life. He has always believed that, at its best, politics and government are callings to better the lives of those around us. After a career practicing law to chose to pursue his passion for politics and public service and experience in media relations to create Melamed Communications, LLC.



    Since it was founded in 1999, the political consulting and full-service public relations firm has served a wide range of causes, business, governmental, political and not-for-profit organizations, as well as candidates for political office.



    Alan has received recognition for high-profile efforts including Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher's 1998 gubernatorial campaign, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections voter education and communications campaign following the problematic 2004 and 2006 primary elections, the TRW/Legacy Village rezoning issue, and the 2004 campaign against the "Gay Marriage" amendment to the Ohio Constitution.



    In 2009, Melamed Communications was awarded a gold Pollie Award for its TV/Radio campaign on State Issue 2 recognizing it as the best TV/Radio Issue campaign in the country in 2009. This year Melamed Communications was recognized with national awards for their innovative approaches to campaign branding, online advertising and Tele-town halls.



    Alan is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Law, The Ohio State University and is very active in the American Jewish Committee at the local and national level. He currently serves on their Executive Council of the National Board of Governors, chairs their Regional Offices Committee and is immediate past president of the Cleveland Chapter. He is a past participant in the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Institute.



    Alan is also a member of the American Association of Political Consultants and a graduate of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2003.
